This month's Blog Hop inspiration has all to do with Valentine's Day/Love, even tho' we are not thru with
Christmas just yet. I do love the colors and how delicately
stitched the embroidered foliage/flowers are that make
up the wreath. I must admit that this is a nice switch from
the holiday mode I've been in for the past few months.
I decided to make my own framed embroidery hoop artwork.
It was a fun chance to dust off the cobwebs off all my stitch
dies. Here is my resulting labors of love:
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the December Blog Hop!
Supplies: PTI Stitched Folk Art Flower, Stitched Circles, Stitched Circles (holes only),
misc. embroidery hoop/ribbon/paper flowers (Wild Orchid)/butterfly fabric (JoAnn's).

PTI Create Along With Us: December 2018
12/10/18
I've selected a card by Laurie Schmidlin for this month's Create Along With Us and it's only Day 1 of the release. I decided to make another Christmas thank you card...so please excuse the repeat of my "thank you" die. I love the
way Laurie used the Text & Texture Bokeh stamp for her
BG. It comes thru with subtleness under her vellum window
shaker card (so pretty). I've made a shaker card too but
created a wintery tree scene adding some faux snow/
seed beads to complete it.
Supplies: PTI Enchanted Forest, ways to say: thank you, Pierced Feature Frame Dies, Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles Die, PTI Dye Ink (Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Mint Julep, Pinefeather, Spring Rain, Ocean Tides, Blueberry Sky), MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX 2.

PTI MIM #344: Deck Your Dies
12/6/18
Finally got around to taking Melissa's MIM challenge for
this week! I've been very busy doing Christmas stuff as I'm
sure everyone else is too. Melissa's holiday card in non-
traditional colors is another layering beauty as she takes
her die-cut word "JOY" and places it into a gorgeous BG.
I wanted to play with Home to Roost and decided I needed
to make some thank you cards for after Christmas.
Supplies: PTI Home to roost, ways to say: thank you, PTI Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, New Leaf, Cocoa Bean), Reverse Confetti Grid Stitched Tag, Sizzix Tim Holtz Holiday Greens (mini), MFT Snowfall Stencil, white acrylic paint, Studio Katia Snow Crystals.

PTI MIM #305 REVISITED
11/28/18
MIM #305 Revisited: Love of Layers with Laurie Schmidlin
Laurie posted this challenge almost a year ago which I
took back then too. It is always fun to layer up a card and
adds so much dimension. Here is my old card with layered
snowflakes. And here is my new one: a wintery scene with
a cute snowman and "Christmas wishes."
Supplies: PTI Fenceline Winter/Ways to Say: Merry Christmas/Pierced Rectangles Die/ Shape Shifters: Square 3 Die, PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Aqua Mist, Winter Wisteria, Weathervane, New Leaf, Pinefeather, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy), Stampendous shabby green embossing enamel, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Snowflakes, Stickles.

PTI MIM #343: Masking & Ink Sponging
11/15/18
Betsy hosts this weeks MIM with a technique involving
masking and ink sponging. I didn't think I'd get around
to trying out Betsy's challenge, but I really wanted to
to give it a go. Finally managed to squeeze out a card
today after returning from some Black Friday shopping.
I used snowflakes like Betsy mainly because I had
enough different kinds (a pre-requisite for the technique).
I would like to try this with flowers one of these days.
Supplies: PTI Snowflake Style, Noted: A2 Vertical Scalloped
Die, MFT Snowflake Flurry, Die-namics Layered Snowflakes,
PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Lilac Grace, Blueberry Sky), Silver
EP, silver CS, 6mm sparkling clear sequins.

PTI November 2018 Blog Hop
11/25/18
This month's inspiration photo of gift wrapped packages
with white paper embellished with candy cane labels/ribbon
proved to be a "stumper" for me. Maybe it was because I've
been so busy with Thanksgiving preparations with my whole
family descending upon our home for the past week. I have
not had much time for challenges. I wanted to play with all
the dies I've been collecting for the past few months. Here's
what I've come up with for the November Blog Hop...
My grandson told me he likes skittles. Of course, I had to oblige.
I loved making the train and will have to put together a few more.
They make cute little ornaments. :) Enjoy the BLOG HOP!

PTI November 2018 Create Along With Us
11/14/18
Finally able to craft a card after a few days of mandatory evacuation due to the huge Woolsey fire nearby! Our home was surrounded by 2 fires (one on each side)...but thank goodness, the fires did not burn in our neighborhood. I am having trouble concentrating on much due to my mind being agitated by the fires and the recent mass shooting in our town of Thousand Oaks. But here is what I came up with to participate in the November Create Along With Us. I selected a beautiful winter snowflake card created by Laurie Schmidlin. I fell in love with her colors! Please excuse my messy sewing...my machine does not like stitching on paper.
>.<
Supplies: PTI Quilted Winter, What the Doodle Snowflakes, Wonderland Kit (sentiment),
PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Lilac Grace, Amethyst Allure), white/silver EP,
VersaMark ink, Reverse Confetti Stitched Rays Cover Panel.

PTI MIM #342: Envelope Bags with Patterned Paper
11/7/18
Lexi shows us how to convert an ordinary envelope into a gift
bag. This is a handy "know-how" for this time of the year and
is wonderful for presenting GCs! Lexi also includes gift bag
creation using patterned paper.
I stayed with creating a gift bag from an envelope...I used an
A6 size. I used a scallop border punch for the top of the bag.
Embellishing was done with the Fairy Tale Christmas kit (love
the cute little winter scenes that can be created with this set).
Supplies: PTI Fairy Tale Christmas Kit, PTI Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Stormy Sea, Weathervane, Honey Nut, New Leaf, Pinefeather, Pure Poppy), Stampin' Up scallop border punch. Judikins EP (white diamond), Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Snowflakes.

PTI Transformation Tuesday #24
11/1/18
Laurie transforms a holiday card into one she likes better by
keeping the overall design but swapping out a few of the
elements. I like both of her designs tho' maybe her embell-
ishments do enhance the die-cut sentiment a "wee" bit better
on the do-over.
For my transformation this week, I selected a spring card made
with the Spring Cloche Quarters fillers and the Cutaway Tags: Spring die. I made the design into a winter one using the Winter fillers and the Cutaway Tags: Winter die. The Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers set was one that got away from me last year...so I felt like I had to use it at least once (only a year later). The winter fillers are all so cute...I want to try them all. :)
Supplies: PTI Cloche Quarters/Cloche Quarters: Winter Fillers/
Cutaway Tags: Winter, PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Lilac Grace, Amethyst Allure, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Weathervane, Dark Indigo), Bitty Big PP (Spring Rain), TCW stencil (large dots), Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX 2, VersaMark Ink, clear EP, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Snowflakes.

PTI MIM #341: Painted Brushstroke Backgrounds
10/31/18
Dawn has a fun way to make freeform backgrounds for this weeks MIM. She shows how dry brushed acrylic paints randomly swished across some CS makes for an interesting BG. I have to admit...this technique is addicting. And you can't stop at making one panel. While I only created one card, I plan to make some tags with my leftover swooshed acrylic painted BGs. :)
Supplies: PTI Merry Mug, Pierced Feature Frame Dies, PTI Dye Ink (New Leaf, Pure Poppy, Weathervane), MFT Dye Ink (Latte), Umbrella Crafts Dye Ink (Soft Sand), Folkart acrylic paint, Stickles, Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow Christmas PP, VersaMark ink, clear EP.

PTI MIM #340: Banner-ific!
10/26/18
Michelle hosts this weeks MIM as she challenges us to create a holiday banner. I have officially earned the title of "Banner Grandma" as this is my assignment when one of our grandkids is having a birthday. We have another granddaughter who will be turning ONE in the beginning of December. I had an idea in my head of what I was going to do, but my PTI shipment took awhile to arrive. I needed the Potbelly Penguin Die to complete the "smash cake" ONE banner. I dressed up the penguins with Santa hats from the Potbelly Santa Die and added earmuffs to the penguin in the middle as this matches the birthday invite. One banner done and the long one to go (11 paper rosettes/penguins still to make)!
Supplies: PTI Potbellies: Penguin Die/Santa Die, Sizzix Party Fans die, We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punch Board.

I drew inspiration from the chalkboard sign, bushel baskets and the pumpkins to create my fall card. I don't usually send out Thanksgiving cards, but I will this year since I have a stash building up. ;)
