PTI MIM #349: Negative Die Cut Backgrounds

1/31/19
Ashley hosts this weeks MIM as she challenges us to use
negative die cuts to create a background. I chose the Mix &
Mat: Heart Die (just the hearts) to create my Valentine's Day
background. I wanted to make use of my December Glorious Globes which had not been touched...yet. I also added a couple of heart stitch dies to embellish my sentiment.   :)

Supplies: PTI Glorious Globes Basics/Glorious Globes December/Mix & Mat: Heart Die,
PTI Dye Ink (Autumn Rose, Hawaiian Shores), MFT Die-namics Stitchable Heart Stax,
Doodlebug Design cream & sugar PP, VersaMark, Ranger EP(Gold Tinsel), JudiKins EP (Rustique Weather Vane), 4mm sequins.

PTI MIM #348: Lotsa Letters

1/24/19
This weeks MIM is hosted by Michelle with her challenge
of using die-cut letters on a card. I love her colorful "Fiesta" card and the way she off-set her circle frame. I've used her
idea of a circle frame using the new Circle of Love set tho' it was too pretty to cut off any of the flowers. My "Thanks" is
cut from an old QuicKutz alphabet die I have. I have die-cut
the letters to match the ink colors used in the surrounding florals. I finished off my card with the Vintage Type BG.
Supplies: PTI Circle of Love/Vintage Type, PTI Dye Ink (Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Ocean Tides), MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX 2, MFT Dye Ink (Lemon Chiffon, Lemon Drop), QuicKutz Chocolate alphabet die, Stickles, Teresa Collins enamel dots.

PTI January 2019 Blog Hop

1/25/19
We are challenged this month with a modern looking baby shower cake as our source for inspiration. I chose to change my card creation to birthday since I wanted to use the December Freebie.
I paired the modern looking birthday cake with the Text & Texture: Bokeh picking up the black and white BG with some PP.
I then added a rolled rose made of felt and some handmade tassels of crochet thread similar to the ones in the photo. This is definitely a card that would have to be hand-delivered. :)

Enjoy the January Blog Hop (hopefully it goes with all that is going on with PTI) !!

Supplies: PTI Your Beautiful Birthday/ Text & Texture: Bokeh/Mix & Mat: Confetti, MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX 2/Black & White Basics PP/Mini Rolled Roses die, PTI Dye Ink (Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Weathervane), MFT Dye Ink (Berrylicious), DOI (Peacock Feathers), Tassels (Loom Party, crochet thread), Ranger EP (Princess Gold).

PTI MIM #347: Winter Watercolor

1/11/19
Winter Watercolor is this weeks MIM challenge headed by
Ashley. She creates a magnificent wintery scene with soft
watercolors (actually re-inkers) and the Enchanted Forest
set. I love the look of watercolors but still struggle with using
them and getting it to do what I want. I tried using re-inkers
but they did not behave like normal watercolors on my water-
color paper. I had a left over piece and took out my Gansai
Tambi set...played with a few colors and got it to work. Ergo...
I ended up matting my piece to fill an A2 card. I am happy I
finally made use of my Winter Window set I bought back in
October. Here's my results:

Supplies: PTI Winter Window/Enchanted Forest/Penned Elegance, PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Simple Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Harvest Gold, Soft Stone, Lilac Grace), Lawn Fawn Knock On Wood PP, Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors, VersaMark
ink, Judikins white EP, Judikins Embossable Window Plastic, Stickles (yellow, lavender, crystal), Studio Katia Snow Crystals.

PTI Transformation Tuesday #29

1/4/19
Dawn McVey takes a card design she likes from summer
and creates a similar design but for a specific need...
changing out the colors to match: Christmas Thank You.
So I decided to do the same taking a card I made for the
October Create Along With Us (just can't get enough of
those Winter Penguins) and remaking the design into a
Valentine's Day card. I am happy with both cards and plan
on using the Valentine's Day card this time. :)

PTI MIM #346: 2018 A La Carte

1/1/19
Happy New Year everyone! I've started the 2019 out with
a bang and completed my first card. What better way to spend the day...other than the fact that I am under "house
arrest" for some surgery I underwent just before Christmas.
It has been a slow recovery and this is the first day I've even felt like sitting at my desk to work on a card. Any ways, I've
selected a sweet card by Michelle with her petite pattern play
and little polka dot PP elephant. I did take the challenge when
it was first presented, but decided to try it again. Creating a
BG from the repetition of a smaller stamp is so versatile.
Here's my latest creation:
Supplies: PTI Bear Hugs, Nesting Basics: Pierced Circles Die, MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die, PTI Dye Ink (Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist, Lilac Grace), Copic Sketch, DoodleBug Designs fall friends PP, Stickles.
