PTI Make It Monday: Pumpkin Stamps 3 Ways (9/26/16)

Ashley heads up this weeks MIM in challenging us
to use our pumpkin stamps in 3 different ways:
"traditional, trendy, and unique."  I don't know if my
cards strictly fit all her categories but I gave it my
best shot.  All my cards were made using PTI
Spooky Smiles stamp/die set and various other
PTI products (too many to list separately).

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Halloween !! :)

         "traditional"                                  "trendy" (shaker card!)                              "unique"

PTI September 2016 Blog Hop

Nichole's September Blog Hop challenge is to create a project using basic materials: kraft paper, twine, black/white papers, some greenery and a pinecone or two.
My inspiration stems from Lizzie Jones' Classic Holiday Inspirations on her 9/13/16 post. I love the Christmas scenes enclosed in jars and sprinkled with snow! I have also missed making domed scenes with Betsy's Petite Places line. This led me to create a scene using materials Nichole mentions and Betsy's newer Tiny Town dies.
And this is how it turned out tho' I created a fall scene. I even found some tiny remote control led lights to place under the lid to light things up a bit. I am planning on creating more of these little jar scenes since I know Betsy will be adding Christmas embellishments for her house soon. :)

 Details:
PTI Tiny Town Basics die/Spooky Yard die/Scallop Shingles die; Petite Places Pop-Up Trees die; MIM All Thru the House.
STAMPS: PTI Petite Pots, MIM Sunshine & Rainbows
INKs: New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Scarlet Jewel, Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Cocoa Bean, Classic Kraft
   PTI Kraft cardstock
MISC: EK fall border punch; alder cones; Michaels jute ribbon/leaves; twine.

PTI Make It Monday: Using Florals on a Masculine Project

9/19/16 * Betsey Veldman hosts this weeks MIM with her beautiful florals applied to a masculine card! She makes
it seem so simple, but I had difficulty putting together
a card for this challenge. For one thing, I have very few floral sets in my PTI stash nor do I have any greenery to scatter amongst the florals.
Back to my overused Bloomers set...and the ferns are
cut from a Spellbinders die set. I added some Sparkly Fluff for the flower centers and finished toning down the flowers
using the Pretty Frame die. The sentiment is backed with
the leftover center piece from the frame. I think this card still looks more feminine than masculine. :(

Stamps: PTI Ombre Sentiments: Birthday, Bloomers
Dies: PTI Bloomers, Pretty Frame, Spellbinders Die D-Lites (Ferns), Lawn Fawn stitched
          rectangles
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal, Cocoa Brown
Judikins embossing powders (clear, white); Sparkly Fluff (orange, yellow); fine hemp
cord; Dress-It-Up tiny natural button; Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather 6x6 pad

PTI Create Along with Us, September 2016

This weeks PTI challenge stems from
drawing inspiration from the numerous cards the talented DT have created showcasing PTI's Sept. 2016 release! And my, so many wonderful examples to choose from along with ushering in the Christmas season. I selected Erin Lincoln's cute snow globe and the Charlie Brown Christmas cut that Nicole posted from which to draw inspiration for my card. It just would not be Christmas without viewing the Charlie Brown Christmas video  at least once (I am a big Peanuts fan). Nor could I let Christmas pass without making something with a snow globe.
I had to think out of the box to create a snow globe
since I don't own the one by PTI! It was piece-work
but I got it to work with what I had in mind. The little
tree represents a "Charlie Brown" tree which I
snipped a branch off from the Winter Woods stamp.
I finished off the card adding some snowflakes, a
few clear sequins and a sentiment from Quilted
Winter. The tiny ornament is from a Inky Antics set.
STAMPS: PTI Quilted Winter, Winter Woods,
Penny Black Sending Love, Inky Antics
Ornament Birdy
DIES: PTI Shaker Circle, Jar Labels 2
INK: PTI Cocoa Bean, Ripe Avocado,
Distress Inks
Copic Sketch markers

PTI Kraft cardstock (base)

PTI Make It Monday #260: From Black and White to Color

Danielle Flanders presents a wonderful technique this week for Make It Monday at PTI! It reminds me of all the coloring books which are out everywhere today (great fun)!

     Materials:
PTI Stamp set: Winter Hills; Tag Sale: Quilted die
Copic sketch markers; Distress Inks for background
Lawn Fawn pastel plaid paper pad; card base: PTI
linen cardstock; Wink of Stella brush (clear).

I have had my eye on the Winter Hills set since last
year during the holidays. I finally broke down and
bought it. Danielle's black and white to color was
the perfect technique to try out on the set. Her idea
of embossing the image before coloring it with
Copic markers worked great on the house! I also
embossed a tree from the set on vellum, fussy-cut
it and tucked it behind the house. The colored
portion of the tag is popped-up with Twin Stick. I'm
pleased with the way this card came out :) TFL !!
