PTI MIM #311: Using Different Types of Papers

This weeks MIM at PTI is hosted by Stephanie Gold and she
challenges us to use different papers to make up our BG. This
is such a great idea to make up a "green" card! I am one who
cannot throw a pretty card or paper away. So this is right up my
alley! That being said, I used a couple of papers from an older
planner and a page from an old Thesaurus for my BG. I added
Betsy's cute pudgy birdies plus a strip of musical notes washi
tape and came up with this card creation. It's kind of busy (for
me), but interesting to look at.

PTI MIM #310: Shadowed Sentiments

Lizzie heads up this weeks MIM at PTI with an easy technique using shadowed sentiments. I love how she
created her BG sponging a bit of ink/stenciling just around 
the perimeter of her base creating a soft glow of color and
shape. The sentiment shadowing is an easy one and adds
dimension. Here's my take on Lizzie's challenge...

PTI January 2018 Blog Hop

Wow, can't believe it is almost the end of January 2018 already!
And of course, that means it's time for PTI's Blog Hop. We are
treated to a birthday themed photo for inspiration. I have only
one ice cream PTI stamp set in my stash (Colored Treats). And
I am sorry to say that it is a set I have not used much...the icons
are rather large and I tend to stay away from these. I am intimidated by the size. I also used a technique from a recent
MIM for my BG. Have fun with the Blog Hop! :)

PTI Create Along With Us: January 2018

So much inspiration from the DT for the PTI January Release! But Melissa won my heart over again with her 
super sweet birthday balloons creation/layering/soft pastels color palette. I had to struggle to make my balloons using
two PTI sets (Scene It: Celebration, Celebrate Big) and
fussy-cutting the balloons by hand. I can't wait until my order
arrives and I'll finally have the "RIGHT" tools to work with to
making birthday balloon cards with ease. :) I enjoyed CAS-ing
Melissa's card!

PTI MIM #309: Heat Embossed Stencil Backgrounds

Melissa Phillips challenges us to use stencils and heat embossing for a twist on background creations. I love the
idea of heat embossing with a stencil. I was gone all last
week fulfilling my obligation of meal preparation to our
daughter who delivered her baby girl in December. This is
part of my baby gift to my daughters each time they have
a baby (5 grand-babies total so far). I am happy to be back
to my card creation hobby and challenges this week!

I finally initiated my new PTI products from the December
release and proud to say I used them all. Betsy's Huggables
Bear set is so cute. I want to try them all. I have more Valentine's to make, so I will have to make the other bears and try out the monkey set too. Thanks for
stopping by and Happy 2018 !!!
