1/31/17 * Lexi shows us how to use pattern paper and die cuts as silhouettes to make a simple but bold card for this weeks MIM. I selected PTI Bunny Basket to create a spring themed card. I started with a Zig Clean Color marker to create the sky and then layered green PP for the hillside and punched a grass border to ground my bunnies. Decided to pull out my Sparkly Fluff to add fuzzy tails to the bunnies. The little cluster of blue flowers were die cut from Color Pop Florals. TFL & thanks for your comments (I appreciate them). :)
DETAILS: PTI * Bunny Basket, Color Pop Florals, Vertical A2 Scallop die. Dye inks: Lovely Lady, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Blueberry Sky. PTI Bitty Dot Basics paper pad. Misc: Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillsides, Fiskars grass border punch, Zig Clean Color markers, Sparkly Fluff (Sugar), MFT Water color Wash paper pack.
1/23/17 * An interactive card is the subject for this weeks MIM with Lizzie! Such a clever idea...this one is a "keeper" in my ever growing collection of PTI ideas. I've been enjoying Nicole's Jumping for Joy set making some Valentines and decided it would be perfect as a spinner card too. Our granddaughter's 1st birthday is coming up soon in February...so I have the perfect occasion. I'll have to tell her mommy to save the card so she can play with it later when she is a bit older. DETAILS: PTI Jumping for Joy, Scene It: Celebration. Dye inks: Hibiscus Burst, Green Parakeet, Amethyst Allure, Summer Sunrise, Classic Kraft. Misc: Spellbinders nesting circles/ovals, Stickles Crystal.
Just love this photo Nicole has selected for us as inspiration for the PTI January Blog Hop! These hand-decorated cookies are too pretty to eat. There is nothing quite like a black background to make things really "pop." I used Color Pop Florals mini kit and watercolor paper/PTI dye inks/Zig Clean Color markers to create my flowers. TFL!
DETAILS: PTI Color Pop Florals mini kit, Tag Sale Quilt die. PTI dye inks: Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Ripe Avocado. Misc: Sizzix embossing folder, Silhouette, Zig Clean Color markers, Viva Decor Pearl pen.
1/16/17*Melissa heads up this weeks MIM with a fun technique using a heart as a mask to form a wreath! Using 4 PTI stamps sets/15 dye ink colors to draw my flowers from was quite tedious but the result was well worth the trouble. And yes, I am finally happy with my wedding card that I will be giving to our nephew and his fiancé this weekend at their wedding. I would like to give credit to Nancy Penir whose swan cards I drew inspiration and tried her idea of sponge stamping on the swan stamps. It worked great...so pretty. Thank you, Nancy! DETAILS: Petite Pots, Forget-me-Not, Christmas Faith, Swan'sational Vertical A2 Scalloped die PTI Dye Inks: too many to list PTI Amethyst Allure cardstock
I like the other half of the masked heart (no longer a wreath) and will keep it in my stash for future use. :)
1/9/17 * I chose to try 2 techniques that I missed last year. The first one was Betsy's MIM: Reverse Stenciling; the second was Dawn's MIM: Gradient Watercolor Die-Cuts. Both are fun techniques! I need a wedding card but failed to buy the proper set from last month's release. Have not decided which card I will use. TFL :) Inspiration 1 * DETAILS PTI Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die, Sunshine & Rainbows Mini Kit, Celebrate BIG. PTI Linen cardstock. PTI Dye inks: Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, Blueberry Sky, Pure Poppy. Misc: Crafter's Workshop Mini Dotted Scallop, Stampin-Up Glossy Accents, Wink of Stella (clear), silver embossing powder.
Inspiration 2 * DETAILS PTI Cover Plate: Butterfly die, Stamper's Select white cardstock. Misc: Zig Clean Color markers, watercolor paper.
