PTI Transformation Tuesday #11

Melissa transforms a more traditional wreath card made by bending her flowered/leaf elements to form the circle into another wreath with totally
different  birthday elements. Both her cards as gorgeous, but I am drawn
to her new one. I really like how Melissa used the scripted birthday sayings.

I have selected an old card made back in June 2016...before I established
my blog. It was made with the large seashells from Nichole's Simple
Seashells and Sand Swatch. I must admit that my card making hobby has
evolved from two years ago and so have the products! I used Betsy's new line of ocean elements (both stamps and dies). They are a joy to play with. I did incorporate the Sand Swatch from the original card into my new one.

PTI MIM #326: Inchie Elements

Our challenge for this weeks MIM, headed by Lexi, is to use 
1" x 1" stamped image squares arranged like tiles. I liked
Lexi's way of smooshing ink onto white strips of paper. But
I chose to create an underwater BG using Betsy's Text & 
Texture Ocean. I also only wanted to use fish in my scene...
so my card is almost a CAS of Lexi's but with a twist. Here's
what I came up with:

Supplies: PTI Salt Air Fauna, Text & Texture Ocean, Reef Builder Die, Distress Oxide

Ink (several green-blue/blue shades), PTI Dye Ink (Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Summer

Sunrise, Orange Zest, Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet), water droplets.

BTW, the fine black line across my pinkish fish is cat hair...I just noticed it. Haha!

PTI June 2018 Blog Hop

My focus on the June 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration photo is on those yummy looking rainbow flavored popsicles!! I made mine from smudging some Distress Oxide Ink in the various rainbow colors followed with blending with my water brush on some water color paper. I used the die from the Colorful Treats set to get the right shape. The die is actually an ice cream bar with sprinkles, ergo the bumpy top but  we can just pretend the popsicles are melting. PTI Transformation Tuesday #10

Lizzie hosts this weeks Transformation Tuesday as she
redesigns an older card made in the fall 2017 into something
more feminine. I created a card in anticipation of the April
2018 Create Along With Us CAS-ing a card made by Laurie
Schmidlin that showcased Betsy's Fence Line Spring set.
I was disappointed in that the April Create Along With Us never
happened. I CAS-ed Laurie's card with stamps that I have in my
stash. It looks fairly close. But I wanted to play with my new set
and decided to CAS Betsy's card. It is much easier when all the
all the elements are contained within one set.

PTI MIM #325: Flowers in Reverse

Dawn challenges us to die-cut flowers in white only and "spruce-up" the leaves while mounting everything on a pure
white background. The colors in her leaves draw attention
to her white flowers. I had some trouble trying to find the
"right" flower dies from my sparse floral collection. I used
Garden Party and a set from MFT (Bold Blossoms). I know
my BG is supposed to be all white but I couldn't resist adding
a strip of yellow check to add a little pop. Here's my take:

PTI Create Along With Us: June 2018

I have fallen for Betsy's fish/turtles and underwater elements this June release. Naturally, I've selected one of Betsy's
beauties to CAS. Of course, it is a bit easier if you have the  "right" stamps/dies to begin with. And that's where the challenge comes into play...thinking out of the box. First went
with a watercolored background and then used the ivy from
Ivy and Blooms as some kelp. My fish and turtle are from two
MFT sets (Mermazing/Beach Buds) since I don't own any by
PTI yet. I added some Sparkling Clear jewels for bubbles.
I can't wait to add more underwater stamps/dies from this release to my collection! :)

PTI MIM #324: Lots O' Dots

Michelle heads up this week MIM with her challenge of adding dimensional dots to embellish her stamped images. I used Michelle's idea of using a butterfly, only mine is from Butterfly Folk. I usually shy away from large stamped images but the largest one from this set seemed most easy to apply the colorful dots. From there, I just wanted a light, simple background so I went with a watercolor wash. I combined Nuvo Crystal Drops with Stickles mainly because I didn't have all the colors I needed in the Nuvo. Here's my result:

This weeks Transformation Tuesday is hosted by Lexi Daly as she takes
a more masculine emoji birthday card and transforms it into a sweet
feminine one by switching out her colors to pink and adding balloons.

I have taken a card I made back in April of 2017 for the PTI MIM:
Patterns Behind Die-Cut Windows hosted by Dawn McVey.  I decided
to follow Lexi's idea tho visa-versa. I wanted play with my Glorious Globes
stamp set and used Dawn's method to create my last Father's Day card
(YAY).
