My focus on the June 2018 Blog Hop Inspiration photo is on those yummy looking rainbow flavored popsicles!! I made mine from smudging some Distress Oxide Ink in the various rainbow colors followed with blending with my water brush on some water color paper. I used the die from the Colorful Treats set to get the right shape. The die is actually an ice cream bar with sprinkles, ergo the bumpy top but we can just pretend the popsicles are melting. I also wanted to try Betsy's technique of using mica pigments for a shimmery BG. This is![]() |

Michelle heads up this week MIM with her challenge of adding dimensional dots to embellish her stamped images. I used Michelle's idea of using a butterfly, only mine is from Butterfly Folk. I usually shy away from large stamped images but the largest one from this set seemed most easy to apply the colorful dots. From there, I just wanted a light, simple background so I went with a watercolor wash. I combined Nuvo Crystal Drops with Stickles mainly because I didn't have all the colors I needed in the Nuvo. Here's my result:
