We are challenged this month with a modern looking baby shower cake as our source for inspiration. I chose to change my card creation to birthday since I wanted to use the December Freebie.
I paired the modern looking birthday cake with the Text & Texture: Bokeh picking up the black and white BG with some PP.
I then added a rolled rose made of felt and some handmade tassels of crochet thread similar to the ones in the photo. This is definitely a card that would have to be hand-delivered. :)
Enjoy the January Blog Hop (hopefully it goes with all that is going on with PTI) !!
Supplies: PTI Your Beautiful Birthday/ Text & Texture: Bokeh/Mix & Mat: Confetti, MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX 2/Black & White Basics PP/Mini Rolled Roses die, PTI Dye Ink (Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Weathervane), MFT Dye Ink (Berrylicious), DOI (Peacock Feathers), Tassels (Loom Party, crochet thread), Ranger EP (Princess Gold).
How fun that you used a tassel on your card! The Bokeh background is so pretty behind your birthday cake! Several of us were inspired to use this fun free set!
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely card Susan and looks like we were on the same wavelength as far as the tassels and hand delivering...great minds thinking alike and all that!! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely take on the photo and I love your tassel embellishments! I thought about it but mine were nowhere to be found...even after cleaning and purging my craft room!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the challenge. Love all the dimension to it. Cheers.
