4/28/18 Happy to be able to participate in this weeks PTI MIM after being away for 10 days on the Big Island of Hawaii to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. Betsy has an interesting challenge incorporating a word die and spot coloring it within an outline stamp background. It's almost like a secret message hidden within the background. I found that Betsy's What the Doodle collection to be most useful to take this challenge. Here's my take on this weeks MIM:
Supplies: PTI What the Doodle: Paisley, Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical Die, PTI Dye Ink (Raspberry Fizz), MFT All Smiles card kit, Copic Sketch, vintage seam binding.
Supplies: MFT Rain or Shine, Puddle Jumper (sentiment), Die-namics Single Stitch Line Tag Corner Square Frames, Drifts and Hills stencil, MFT Dye Ink, Copic Sketch, Stampin' Up Crystal Effects.
4/10/18 This weeks MIM at PTI is hosted by Michelle Leone in her very first video. She does a terrific job and challenges us to use stitching for our floral stems. I love this challenge as I miss Erin Lincoln and her stitching dies. I got a little carried away and placed "real" stitches in my Stitch in Time Border frame. I used Michelle's color palette as I thought it was perfect for a Mother's Day card. I think I need to make a couple more Mother's Day cards. Have fun stitching! :)
Supplies: PTI Mixed Bouquet, Stitch in Time Borders, Bitty Button Stax, Bitty Big Raspberry Fizz PP, PTI Dye Ink (Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Harvest Gold), Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop, Hero Arts Mother's Day Message.
4/3/18 Stephanie challenges us to use blocks of color from solid floral stamps followed by overlaying outlined florals in black ink. I used two sets to lay down some color (Bloomers & Garden Party), but I had trouble finding just an outline floral set in my stash. I finally ended up using Splits: With Love. I created an anniversary card to give to our daughter #3 and her hubby for their upcoming 4th anniversary this month!
