6/27/17 ** Lizzie creates a wreath made up of small flowers
from the PTI Mini Blooms stamp set. I do not have this set,
of course, and pulled small blooms/leaves from four PTI sets
(ugh). I love the look of Lizzie's wreath but it is rather time
consuming to create (as I found out). I think I used almost
all of my PTI dye ink colors. I chose to arrange my blooms
around an oval instead of a circle because I wanted to use
the oval window from Ivy & Bloom. I used Kuretake Pearl Colors (green) to watercolor the background with the sentiment. It has a shimmer to it that the photo doesn't pick up (very pretty). TFL!
Supplies: PTI Ivy & Bloom, Grand finale (a loaded set of
mini blooms), Garden Party, Cutaway Tags: Spring.
PTI Dye ink: Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Ripe Avocado, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Aqua Mist,Tropical Teal, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Lilac Grace, Winter Wisteria, Plum Pudding.

PTI MIM: Pantone Chip Inspired Cards
6/25/17 ** Lexi heads up the MIM for this week with a fun
and simple way to create a card inspired by a Pantone chip!
Just finished a week with helping my daughter/hubby with their newborn baby girl...so I barely had enough time to take
the Blog Hop/MIM challenges. I am happy Lexi's card was
so easy to put together this week. :) I made a felt stitched
lemon slice with Erin's (sure do miss her and her stitching
dies) Seasonal Stitching: Summer Fruit Die. I added a
magnet inside the slice before closing it. The lemon slice
seemed to pair well with the Pantone chip idea and is such
a nice way to present the magnet. I think I will make more of these. ***Thanks Lexi!!

PTI JUNE 2017 BLOG HOP
6/25/17 ** PTI June 2017 Blog Hop Inspiration
with an Aqua Mist re-inker and used this to represent the
water in the jar. I inked some tulips and stamped them on watercolor paper while the paper was wet. I wanted a soft
background and sponged ink onto a stencil with Lilac Grace and Amethyst Allure. Added a few small sequins into the shaker jar to create sparkle for the water. I ended up using an A6 size card this time since I placed my tulips too high into the jar (the tulips from Tulip Time are quite large >.<).
TFL and enjoy the Blog Hop!
Supplies: PTI Tulip Time, Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar
Shaker die, dye inks: Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Pale Peony, Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Lilac Grace, Amethyst
Allure, Aqua Mist re-inker.
MFT Framework stencil, Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX.

MFT Camp Create
Trying something different again this week
with MFT and joining in on the fun at Camp Create
2017. Over the next 5 days, there will be a different
challenge each day. Today's involves watercolors! I have
selected MFT's Polar Bear Pals and the square stitch
die/shaker pocket to create my scene after playing with
my Kuretake watercolor set. I also used Shrinky Dink
paper to create my polar bear and he shrank quite a bit!
I watched Stephanie's paperclip creations and thought it
might work with Shrinky Dink material but I think they come out too small. I may still try making these into paperclip toppers...just have to find the largest character images
or they shrink down too tiny. >.<

PTI MIM: Baby Wipe Inking
6/5/17 ** This must be a first for me...I turned out two cards
on the day of the challenge! It must have been Ashley's
relatively simple technique of inking baby wipes to create
backgrounds. :) Again, I don't own any re-inkers so I had
to ink up my stamp blocks. The technique still worked tho
the colors are not as vibrant and I had to re-ink my baby
wipe several times. I did CAS Ashley's sweet pink roses
card tho...love that the roses appear so dainty/delicate. They seem to pair well with SPLITS: With Love which I haven't
ever used yet (yikes >.<).
Supplies: PTI Center Style: Masculine, Keep It Simple: Father, SPLITS: With Love, Made With Love Tags 1 die, Dye inks: Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Green Parakeet, Enchanted Evening, Honey Nut, Cocoa Bean.
Misc: Kuretake Clean Color markers.

6/4/17 ** Though Happy Pandas is an older set, it's a new one
for me. Thought I would initiate the set in this week's MFT
Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Just love these pandas! :)
