Laurie's Fabulous Favorites: Favorite summer colors.

Barely got this challenge done...since I've been away on
vacation. I haven't received my order yet from Ink to Paper
since today is Memorial Day and my mail has been on hold
over the past week. My favorite summer colors are yellow
(for the sun), blue (for the sky) and green (for the grass).
And Bear Hugs seems to be my "go-to" stamp set for cute
birthday. I needed a quickie for my upcoming grandson's
8th birthday. I love Laurie's inspiration of watercolors
over white embossing for a BG. Having CAS-ed this...my
watercolors are not a vibrant as Laurie's but you get the idea...hopefully. ;)

Laurie's Fabulous Favorites: Favorite tag

I must admit that I don't make tags very often tho I don't know why because they are much simpler than cards. I needed a few tags for my Mother's Day gifts to our 3 daughters. I decided to use the Tag Sale #4 die. The Stitched With Love stamps fit perfectly on this die. I placed the first initial of each of our daughters at the top of the tags. Thank god I did not name all of our children with the same first letter. :)

Laurie's Fabulous Favorites: Favorite layout

I don't really have any particular layouts that are my regular "go-tos."  I select my stamp set(s) which ever focus I need and the layout usually just falls into place from there. That being said, I needed another Mother's Day card and decided to go with Butterfly Blooms. This is a new stamp set for me
not having purchased it when it was released last year. 
The butterfly is quite large and takes up most of the card; ergo I needed a simple LO so the focus would be highlighted. I went with orange and black as we are in the midst of a Painted Lady butterfly migration where I live right now. They
are everywhere and in a great hurry. It must be their mating season??!!
