2/21/19 Laurie's Fabulous Finds #3: Stand Alone Dies
I love what Laurie has done with her challenge for us this week! Her fruit dies and colors she has chosen make for a perfect Thank You card. I've selected one of Betsy's What the Doodle sets to take Laurie's challenge. I love how Betsy has given us the option to use Tea Time stamped or alone with just the dies. I sponged some ink on SSW CS and proceeded to die cut the tea cup. There is a BG tea cup die included in the set which I die cut from some Aqua Mist CS. I needed to create another birthday card for my oldest daughter whose birthday is coming up in the beginning of March. This challenge was perfect to get the job done. :) Supplies: PTI What the Doodle: Tea Time/Banner Style/Shape Shifters: Circle 3 Die, PTI Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Melon Berry, Prairie Grass, Weathervane), PTI CS (Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White), Paper Source CS, Copic Sketch, Ranger EP (Princess Gold), Nuvo Crystal Glaze, Stickles, Pretty Pink Posh 4 mm sequins (Sparkling Clear).
2/14/19 Laurie's Fabulous Favorites Challenge #2: Favorite Cardstock Color(s) Hands down, my favorite PTI cardstock color is Aqua Mist! I had to create a birthday card for one of my grand- daughters who will be turning 3 this month. I couldn't resist playing with the Potbellies: Unicorn die (my first time). And of course, the unicorn pairs so well with Aqua Mist. It is a "match made in heaven." Only thing, my granddaughter might be a little disappointed in that the unicorn's belly is not filled with candy...just a shaker card. Oops! BTW, I had to go with an A6 card base to accommodate the unicorn's size (barely fits at that). Supplies: PTI Potbellies: Unicorn Die/Potbellies Everyday Sentiments/Penned Elegance/To the Point Edgers, PTI Dye Ink (Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores), PTI Aqua Mist CS, MFT Itsy Bitsy Polka Dot Papers PP, Zig Clean Color.
2/7/19 Laurie Schmidlin hosts a new weekly Wednesday challenge (Laurie's Fabulous Favorites) beginning this February! She has always been one of my favs on the DT. I look forward to seeing her creations and taking her challenges. :) Laurie has selected a gorgeous floral to work her magic. And yes, PTI has a stash of florals from which to make a selection. I have steered away from the larger florals (which still intimidate me a bit) and went with a smaller version from one of my favs: Cloche Quarters: Spring Fillers. My violets are in bloom right now even tho we are in the dead of winter...ergo my violets choice from the Spring Fillers set. Here's my resulting labor of love:
Supplies: PTI Bold Borders: Love Die/Cloche Quarters: Spring Fillers/Words to Live By: Happiness, Reverse Confetti Grid Stitched Tag, PTI Dye Ink (Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Pure Poppy, Lilac Grace), DOI (wilted violet, candy apple, abandoned coral, broken china, peacock feathers), VersaMark ink, white EP, Stickles, Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
